Snowboarding
I can't wait to go snowboarding this season. Does anyone know who has the cheapest lift tickets and rentals?

Monarch isn't bad...$49 left tickets...dunno what snowboard rentals are but ski rentals are $18

Ski Cooper tickets are cheaper than Monarch, just a by a little bit...no clue what rentals are

RE: Snowboarding
Monarch looks like a good place to go. Bit of a drive though. Their lift ticket plus rental is cheaper than a Winter Park lift ticket. But the miles driven is quite a bit further.

The only places I've been are Winter Park, Vail and Keystone. I would like to give Monarch a try though. I guess I'll have to make a weekend out of it.

Check King Soopers/City Market for discounted tickets. I used to work for their corporate office and we had people call about discount tickets pretty frequently.

so, is this like a new form of water-boarding?

RE: Snowboarding
My wife and I both snowboard. Here is the "cheap passes" trick we use: Wells Fargo offers a BOGO voucher for the Rocky Mountain Super Pass (Copper and Winter Park) to any Colorado student opening a new account. Each year I find someone to give me a copy of their course schedule, then I spend about an hour using Photoshop to turn it into a schedule with my name and a different student ID, and one for my wife as well. Then one of us takes one of the new schedules down to Wells Fargo, opens an account with $100 and gets a BOGO voucher. Then we both take our schedules down to Christy Sports, explain we haven't gotten our student IDs yet, and buy our two passes for $400 total. Wait until April or so, go close the Wells Fargo account and get our $100 back. Its a little late in the year to pull this one now, but they offer it every year.

I screwed up this year and opted instead for the Epic Pass. Spent a grand on our passes, and the snow SUCKS this year. I'll be going back to the Wells Fargo trick next season.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!"
